We gathered at the Science Centre at 8am, and collected a healthy and delicious sandwich breakfast set each, complimentary from Junnie. Then set off at around 9 am.
Luckily the traffic at both the Tuas and M'sia custom was okay, so we merely spent only about half an hour in the queue.
At Gelang Patah, we took our toilet breaks and exchanged the foreign currencies.
About 11 am plus, we reached Kukup. My first trip to this town... The whole town were just shophouses and seafood restaurants surrounded by the sea and resembled Penggarang which I have visited. Upon arriving, everyone headed for this seafood restaurant, and placed order for our lunch meal.
Then we took a boat ride to go to one of the kelongs. As it was not my first trip to a kelong, hence, no excitement for me. But for the kids, it was an experience... They got to smell the fishy air, walked around the wooden planks, saw a lot of houseflies on those dead fishes....I don't think they enjoyed it...
In my personal view, the seafood lunch was not fantastic, as compared to Penggarang or JB...
By 2 pm, we headed to JB Plentong's Tesco Extra. It is a new shopping complex just opposite the Plentong Giant. I did not have much time to shop around the complex, as most of the time, the kids were hanging around at the toy sections....
At 6 plus, we departed from Tesco and headed back to Singapore. It was about 8.30 pm, and phew, i was in time to catch my favourite show - 超级星光大道第二班总决赛 and witnessed the crowning of the championship for 赖铭伟; 1st runner-up 梁文音 and 2nd runner-up 叶苇莛.
