This morning, heard the news of the demise of MJ through radio 1003...
Oh my gosh, at age of 50, so young only.....

Then confirmed his death news via CNA :

As most of you may be awared, I am not an ang-moh pai person, so I hardly know many of ang-moh songs...however, it's a relief that among all the MJ's songs, these are still two which I like to listen to....

MJ - Rest in Peace!

Lucky Day!

This morning I took out the memory card from my camera, wanted to re-format the memory card via my pc... and Phew! my photos were still retrievable....lucky!

Though we only ordered 2 set meals, plus a-la-carte order of the Dumplings and a Potato Dish, but we ate so full that night... and we cherished the moments of having 'sex talks' together... hahaha... Happy Birthday to you, Steph!

Buddies/Kids' Chalet Gathering @ HomeTeam NS Chalet (12-14 June 09)

This was our first visit to the HomeTeam NS Chalet @ Pasir Ris.

It was rather cheap and worth booking for this one...$214 for 3D2N, comes with a spacious living room and 4 bedrooms, 3 toilets, 1 kitchen...

The facilities, though, was limited, but we felt comfortable and safe and enjoyed ourselves over the period of stay...
Wenxing joined us on the first evening, delivering a bottle of red and white wine each, compliments from Wang Si... how nice of these 2 guys...And we had Pizza Hut for dinner followed by mahjong session...
The next morning, Annie's family went back as the children needed to attend their tuition class... so the remaining of us, brought our kids for cycling and ventured the journey to the Downtown East for McDonalds' lunch...

In the afternoon, we had pool games for the children... pretending to be in a jacuzzi, bubbles-blowing, splashing... the kids love it!

The BBQ was the highlight of this gathering...

On the next day, after checking out, the kids had fun at the Xplorer Kids @ Downtown East... and for the mummies and daddies... Tiredness... But, but, but.... We were happy and enjoyed seeing the happy faces of our kids, didn't we?

Farrer Chalet @ East Coast Goldkist Beach Resort (5-7 June 09)

It has been a long time since I stayed in the East Coast Chalet. I felt happy and full of fond memories when I re-visited this resort during the first week of June for my Farrer Gathering.

I booked the Duplex Delux which cost $456 for a 3D2N stay... expensive sia.... and it comes with a big and spacious ground floor and a bedroom with a Queen-sized bed and a single bed.

I checked-in the room smoothly with the help of Wenxing, who actually fetch me from my home, to James' house in Ang Mo Kio to pick up 6 cartons of Tiger Beer (cans) and half a dozen of bottled Tiger Beer...So kind of him to have helped me carried all my barangs barangs to the chalet... and then he went home...

In the late evening, a few of my friends started streaming in, namely, Rappa, James, Evonne, Eilena and Kelun. We drank and played cards till about 2 am plus...

On the 2nd day, more of my friends joined us and we had BBQ...

When the BBQ was almost done by 10 pm plus, we all gathered in the chalet and played 'In-Between' till 4 am plus...
This guy in white shirt is Weiyuan aka One-Leg Champion. He was well-known for his agility and swiftness in playing One-Leg. Everyone remembers this even till now... He is happily married with a beautiful wife and has a pretty and cute 8-month old baby gal.

This is one of our newbies - William. He has just returned to Singapore only in last September, and we were glad to have find him back. Had a good catch-up with him, and we were talking a lot of our childhood kampong days... William lived in the same kampong street with me, and we took the same school bus since we were in our kindergarten days...then we joined Farrer Pri. In 1984, we shifted to different locations under the resettlement scheme... He moved to Shunfu Road and I was in Bt Batok, but we still on good terms in school, especially in Pri 5. He was one of my ping-pong kakis too...

The turn-up for this chalet was about 13 people... still a good effort in organising this gathering...

SA1 results

Long long time din update liao...
Have been enjoying my June Holidays so much!
Will be posting up gathering photos of friends and buddies soon.
But before that, still have to take-stock of my kids' results...

G has flunked his Maths paper! He felt guilty of this result, and admitted to me that he was really careless in his paper....But he has surprised me with his English and Mother Tongue! The results have improved tremendously compared to his last SA in P1.

Teacher's comments : G is a bright pupil who is capable of achieving even better results if he continues to work hard and learn to be attentive in class.
(Darling, you see.... don't get influence by your friends and talking unnecessary when in the class .. Teacher has been complaining to me that you are very chatterbox lei...But Mummy trusts that you can achieve better results than this! Ganbatte!)

K was lucky to have scored a borderlined just-passed marks for his Maths. He has shown improvements in his English too! And though he passed all the subjects, but his total/percentage score was not as good as G.... A pity for G....

Teacher's comments : K is a well-behaved, polite and hardworking pupil who always strives to do his best.
(Well done, darling! Pls stay focus and work harder for your SA2)

MIL was supposed to reward both of them with a Nintendo DS Lite each if both pass their exams... unfortunately, G did not clear all the papers, hence, the presents have been KIVed till SA2....

Boys, let's work hard for SA2... Aim for your presents! Mummy also want to play too!
